Dear Ginny and Richard, I have watched the memorial for Edward and found it wonderful and profoundly moving. It is so obvious from all the tributes that Edward was a caring and inspiring man. It was so very interesting for me to see how his life progressed after leaving Hinchley Wood Primary. His work and his running were both incredible - a measure of his being a perfectionist- something I remember from when he was in my class. I remember him being interested in the Ancient Egyptians when we were studying that period. He read widely on the subject. It was lovely to see you both giving your memories of Edward and of course it was lovely too for me to see both Caroline and David as I could only visualise them as children. All the family tributes and the colleagues’ and friends’ tributes were so moving to listen to. He will be greatly missed by so many. Thank you for letting me know about the memorial through Bob. Since moving to Hampshire ten years ago I see little of former colleagues. We have only occasionally met here. Edward was such an incredible person and I feel honoured to have had a tiny part in his education. Much love to you both and all the family. Kay
